What started out as a crazy idea to photograph seniors in a way that has never been done before, just wrapped up its second year. A couple of years ago I had an idea to really photograph seniors in a “RockStar” way. Then with 4 other photographers the Senior Rock Star Tour was born. The short version of this is- the girls get their hair and makeup professionally done, a 45 passenger limo bus totes us all around Denver, and they are photographed by five different photographers, unlimited outfits, and great senior photos. It’s been an amazing experience for us and the seniors. It is an all day shooting bonanza that leaves us all whipped, but it has been so worth it. Here is a sneak peak from me of photos from our July 27th tour date.

This is the second year doing the Senior Rock Star Tour and I just love that we do it. It was a crazy idea I had several years ago, to give an experience to seniors that nobody has done before. I love all the photographers that have joined and the seniors just love it. If you are don’t know about the tour check out the website. The short summary of it is: Girls get their hair and makeup done, we go out on a 40 passenger limo party bus, we go to five different locations, and you are photographed by 5 different photographers. It’s an all day event, and we have one more this summer on July 27th. There are still some seats left and time to sign up. We only allow 15 seniors for each tour. We have had kids come from as far as Ohio and Durango. Don’t want to use the same photographer as all your friends. Want your photos to be different. Try choosing your senior photos from 5 different photographers.
Here is a sneak peak of the photos that I took. One of each senior that came on the tour. I always knew more girls than guys would come, but this is the 2nd tour we have done where there was only one guy. So guys if you are looking for a good ratio to hang out with a group of girls all day, this is the thing you should do this summer. If you want to see what the other photographers captured. Melissa joined us last summer for our first Senior Rock Star Tour. Melissa and her best friend Molly came on the tour together from Evergreen and they had a blast. They kept us laughing the whole time. So far this year we have seniors from Durango, Lakewood, Denver, and Cherry Creek coming on the tour. There are still spots available for our June and July dates. Go here to sign up. The Senior Rock Star tour is a day you will never forget. No other studio has done anything like this. The concept behind Senior Rock Star tour besides great senior photos is all about, well living like a rock star. All the girls get their hair & make up done and we travel in style too. Check out the photo of inside the limo bus that takes us around Denver to our 5 locations that we go to. Not only do you get to go to 5 locations, but you get to be photographed by a different photographer at each location. You get unlimited outfits, unlimited photos, it’s an all day affair. Kelsey came on our 2nd Senior Rock Star Tour last summer. I have known her family for quite some time. Way back when, she use to sell me lots of boxes of girl scout cookies. When I say a lot, I mean average of 18 boxes a year. I have a huge sweet tooth, and I love the Tag a Longs. She is an active senior at Cherry Creek High School, her church and community. Thanks for coming on the Senior Rock Star Tour Kelsey, and good luck in the next chapter in your life.

Cada came to help us out at the KISS senior workshop last year. She was incredible in front of the camera and we came away with some sweet shots. After working with her, we asked her to come out with us on the Senior Rock Star Tour to help all the others with posing. She was a real Rock Star for us. We wish you all the best in the future Cada.

Yesterday, I blogged about Lyda coming up all the way from Durango to join the Senior Rock Star Tour. Well, her best friend Jessica came up with her to join in all the fun. Jessica looked beautiful and was so easy to photograph. She was a natural in front of the camera. All the girls get their hair and make up professionally done the morning of the tour, it’s included in the package. Our make up girls did a fantastic job, and they made her eyes really pop. Kelly was on the first ever maiden voyage of the Senior Rock Star Tour last year. The first Tour was an insane day of photography and fun, and Kelly was incredible to photograph. Her photos are some of my all time favorite senior photos.
